Procedure voor verkrijgen ontheffing AFF & Tandem / Application procedure for exemption AFF & Tandem

Foreign tandemmasters and AFF jumpmasters wishing to jump as such in the Netherlands need an exemption on the Basic Safety Regulations (BVR). These exemptions can be given by the parachuting board according to BVR article 1003. Applicants should contact the relevant chief instructor of the club who must send the application plus all required documents to the accountmanager parachuting at KNVvL office. The cost is € 100, on an annual basis. There is no extra cost for an extension within a calender year, nor for an extention with either AFF or Tandem. If all documents have been received by the parachuting head-office the board will review the application and will make a decision. Applicants will always receive an answer. 

The required documents are:

Tandem:

  • Proof of valid membership of KNVvL, parachuting department. The applicant must be member before payment of the exemption fee can be accepted. 
  • Proof of a valid foreign tandemjumping license. 
  • Written declaration of chief instructor that applicant has made more then 1000 freefall parachute jumps, by means of the logbook.
  • Written declaration of chief instructor that applicant has made more than 100 tandemjumps in the past 2 years. 
  • Copy of a valid ICAO Class II or Class I medical. 
  • Written declaration of a KNVvL tandem instructor examinator that applicant has received instruction in KNVvL regulations regarding tandemjumping, including a positive advice regarding the applicant. 
  • A written positive advice of the chairman of the Training and Exam Committee (OPEX) of KNVvL department of parachuting. 

AFF:

  • Proof of valid membership of KNVvL department of parachuting. The applicant must be member before payment of the exemption fee can be accepted. 
  • Proof of a valid foreign AFF license. 
  • Written declaration of a chief instructor that applicant has made more than 500 formation skydiving jumps, by means of the logbook. 
  • Written declaration of chief instructor that applicant has made more then 100 AFF-jumps in the past 2 years. 
  • Written declaration of a KNVvL AFF instructor examinator that applicant has received instruction in KNVvL regulations regarding AFF jumping, including a positive advice regarding the applicant. 
  • A written positive advice of the chairman of the Training and Exam Committee (OPEX) of KNVvL department of parachuting. 

Tandemmasters en AFF-jumpmasters met buitenlandse springpapieren die in Nederland willen tandemspringen of AFF-springen hebben een ontheffing nodig om dit te mogen doen. Deze ontheffingen worden, conform BVR artikel 1003, door het afdelingsbestuur afgegeven als aan een aantal eisen is voldaan. Hiertoe zijn flowcharts opgesteld, ter informatie over het te volgen proces, voor de chef instructeurs die dergelijke aanvragen moeten indienen:

De Chef Instructeur moet een schriftelijke aanvraag indienen bij de accountmanager parachutespringen. De kosten voor het verkrijgen van een ontheffing zijn € 100 per jaarlijkse aanvraag. Voor een extensie of uitbreiding worden geen extra kosten in rekening gebracht. 

Bij deze aanvraag moeten documenten als hierboven in het engels beschreven worden naar het secretariaat. Als alle benodigde gegevens ontvangen zijn zal het AB beslissen of de ontheffing wordt verleend en hoe lang de ontheffing zal gelden.
